SAP Data Modeler - Working with prepackaged entities (Excel)

NotesNOTE: PRIOR TO THIS STEP, IT IS NECESSARY TO HAVE INSTALLED THE LATEST ONECONNECT TRANSPORT PROVIDED DIRECTLY BY THE ONIBEX TEAM. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THIS TRANSPORT, PLEASE CONTACT OUR TEAM.
  1. Access the ZONT_ONECM Transaction in SAP
  1. Go to the Transaction field. Type "ZONT_ONECM" in the input box. Press Enter.

  1. Upload the Excel file with the SAP Operating Data Model (the Excel file must be previously delivered by the Onibex team for use and modification)
Info

Make sure to ask the Onibex team to provide you with the correct excel file for this process and to have followed the previous steps: Creating a prepackaged entity

  1. In "File Path" select the location of the Excel file to be used
  2. In "Sheet Name" select the name of the Excel sheet of the entity that is going to be uploaded. (The name needs to be exactly to the one in the sheet, if not it will not be created)
  3. Make sure to select "Load Entity Relations" (the other option is explained in other manual)

  1. After uploading the file clic on "Execute"
  1. Adjust models in SAP if necessary with the Graphic Modeler. *The user can add Z tables if necessary and adjust the links between tables. (This process was already explained in a previous manual)

  1. The previously loaded Excel file will automatically include the initially selected columns and fields. However, if necessary, you can add more manually by selecting the "Column Definition" option and double-clicking on the required field. Adjust the fields in each table in the model as needed.

  1. In the "Define Filters" section you can adjust the filters of the model. These filters will be used during data extraction, allowing you to specify the exact parameters you wish to apply, so the entity will only contemplate elements that meet the criteria assigned within the filters.

  1. By default, OneConnect takes the predefined aliases and descriptions for some selected field, however, they can be modified by clicking on the "Field Alias" fields and adjusting the desired text for the same as the desired. Once the changes have been made, it is necessary to give "Enter" for them to be saved.

  1. Define and set up the trigger event. This configuration can be defined in collaboration with the Onibex team.

  1. To run and start sending data per batch, select the desired entity and click Run. Defines the endpoint of the workspace previously configured in SM59, select the desired format and run.

Notes
A separate manual is available for SM59 configuration. You can locate it in the OneConnect V2 documentation.

  1. Previously selected filters will be applied here. Double-click the parameters you want to use to extract the desired data, once the selection has been confirmed, click "Save" to run. Select the desired execution mode. (The process in substance is recommended if the number of records to be sent is considerable, so as not to affect the user's process and memory)
